On August 3–7, 2013, the American Accounting Association (AAA) will hold its Annual Meeting in Anaheim, California. The theme for 2013 is "Brilliantly Disguised Opportunities" — focusing on understanding the many challenges on higher education's horizon and seeing them as opportunities in disguise. How will Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and the growing global demand for education change our lives as teachers? How will disappearing print journals, open access models, and other advances in scholarly publishing change our lives as researchers? How will the increasing demand for accountability and related financial pressures on tuition levels, student loan debt, state tax support and philanthropy change our colleges and universities? How can we help invent a better future? Come to Anaheim and join in the discussion.Click Here to make your submission.
The AAA 2012 Service Project

Washington, DC metro area.
Thank You AAA Members!
Thank you to everyone who participated in and attended the Annual Meeting and Conference on Teaching and Learning in Accounting (CTLA) last week in Washington, D.C. It was a great success.
Karen Pincus, the new AAA President, officially accepted the gavel from Greg Waymire as the meeting marked an end to his remarkable year as President. Karen now looks forward to meeting many of you as she travels to upcoming section and region meetings.
The CTLA program is final and you can review and download it HERE.
This year the 2012 Annual Meeting of the AAA takes place in Washington, D.C. at the Gaylord National Hotel and Conference Center in National Harbor, Maryland...a beautiful property located directly on the Potomac River and able to host all of our member events under one roof!

The theme for the AAA's 2012 Annual Meeting is "Seeds of Innovation." The focus of this theme is to help members gain new knowledge, see new perspectives on their current scholarly interests, and explore developments from other fields that may ultimately help foster the kinds of innovations that will attract the attention of the next generation of accounting scholars.
Going mobile means on-the-go access to all of the American Accounting Association's journals from your iPhone, Android, or BlackBerry device.

The AAA is rolling out our new Digital Library Platform to host all of our journal content. Effective November 2, you will go to the new site. You will log in there with your email address and password that you create, and then you'll be able to browse our journals, save your favorites, and sign up for alterts.
This page has been created to provide some quick tutorials, and the opportunity for you to ask questions - and get quick and timely answers!
Another annual meeting of the AAA has come and gone and, by all accounts, was a huge success. We surpassed our goal of 500 fully-equiped backpacks for the Service Project; the Career Connection and Fair had record numbers of attendees; and the overall number of meeting registrants exceeded our expectations!
Our most sincere thanks go to all of you who attended, presented, volunteered, or participated in any way. It is because of you that this meeting was so successful.
