The AAACommons facilitates our engagement as a community: a community of scholars, teachers, practitioners, and anyone who is interested in the role of accounting in society. Importantly, communities are only as strong as the bonds that connect them. Each of you can supply those bonds. For example, when you create wonderful teaching ideas post them here, or if you are starting a new research project create a research hive to streamline your creative work with co-authors. If you are new to the AAACommons, on the right side of your screen click on the turquoise colored "New Users" ticket to begin exploring all the potential this new platform has to offer.

Over the coming year, the roll out of the AAACommons will engage AAA members through their sections and region groups. Groups provide a mechanism for sections and regions to add value to their specific members around common interests. For example, regions and sections typically host meetings with content that is of interest to their members. However, unfortunately not all region and section members can attend the meetings. The AAACommons will allow all members to access meeting content in their AAACommons Group. In addition, region and section committees will have hives in their group area and there will be space for sharing best practices.

As new ideas and information are added to the AAACommons, it has the ability to change and evolve to meet the needs of AAA members. Please post your ideas and suggestions for improving the AAACommons so that the development team and all members can benefit from your thoughts.
